Head Coach: Stephen Graebe

Stephen Graebe is entering his third year as head coach of the Junior Varsity team, after serving as an assistant coach for one season with the 15u team. Graebe was a 4-year player for Post 1, winning two state championships with the program. In his 2017 year with Post 1, he maintained a 2.16 ERA, while also leading the team in strikeouts.

Graebe graduated from Wheeling Park High School in 2019, and was a part of the first team in school history to make the WVSSAC State Championship game, being the starting pitcher in the game. After missing time due to surgery, he came back as an important bullpen arm for West Liberty University, and was a part of the upset of then #24 ranked University of Charleston.

He gained his bachelor’s degree from West Liberty University in Broadcasting & Communications, and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Business Administration. He currently works at WTOV9 in Steubenville, Ohio

Assistant Coach: Ross Salvatori

Ross Salvatori is returning to the Wheeling Post 1 organization as the Assistant Coach for the Junior Varsity team. During his playing days, Salvatori was part of two Wheeling Post 1 State Championship teams in 2016 and 2017. At Wheeling Park High School, he played a key role in leading the Patriots to their first and only appearance in the WV State Championship game in 2018.

After high school, Salvatori continued his baseball career at West Liberty University, where he started for Coach Eric Burkle’s Hilltoppers. During his junior season, he helped the team reach the MEC semifinals, posting a .323 batting average and a .468 on-base percentage before an injury cut his career short.

Salvatori earned his bachelor's degree in Communications and Advertising and then returned to complete his MBA. He currently serves as the Business Development Coordinator for the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce.
